  • On Wednesday, Nov. 6,  at approximately 9:35 a.m. officers from the Murphysboro Police Department were requested to 1020 Walnut St., McDonald's Restaurant, reference a report of an Attempted Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property that occurred in the early morning hours on this same date.
Officers learned that a white male arrived at the business and was observed on multiple cameras from the business trying to gain entry to the business. It was determined that the suspect was unable to gain entry to the business via his multiple attempts. During these attempts multiple items belonging to the business were damaged by the suspect.
Upon investigating all evidence collected, officers learned that the suspect to the incident was Mr. Dillon V. Delarre, a 21 year old white male. Officers would locate Mr. Delarre later in the day and he was subsequently taken into custody for the charges of Attempted Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property without incident.
Mr. Delarre was transported to the Jackson County Jail where he will be held for a pending Court Appearance on both charges.
