The City of Murphysboro will be hosting the first annual Murphysboro Community Night Out on Oct. 1 from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Longfellow Park on North 20th Street.
Make plans now to spend a night out with our community leaders, police officers and firemen, and share in a family-friendly event promoting police-community partnerships, crime, drug and violence prevention, safety, and neighborhood unity.
Free food and drinks will be offered, and there is no cost for the event, which is sponsored by local businesses.
