The time for the Fourth Annual Murphysboro Apple Festival Trivia Night is coming quickly and teams are urged to get registered in advance this year.
There will be Mulligans (Mulligans are tokens that can be used as a correct answer when a team is stumped on a question) for sale during the trivia night.
They will cost five for $5. Only five mulligans will be allowed per team.
This year's trivia question will include two audio categories and one photo category.
The categories for this trivia night are:
1. Are you smarter than a fifth grader?
2. By George
3. World History
4. Shawnee Hills Wine Trail
5. They're Playing my Song
6. Creating the American Song
7. Hail to the Chief
8. Hodgepodge (audio)
9. Miscellaneous (audio)
10. Oh Say can you See (photo)
The trivia night will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 10, upstairs at the Event Center on Walnut Street.
Seating will start at 6:30 p.m. and the game will begin at 7 p.m.
The entry fee is $10 per person or $80 to sponsor a team.
"The Team With No Name" has won every MEDO (Murphysboro Economic Development Organization) sponsored trivia night so far. That is seven straight wins for them.
Are there any trivia buffs that think they can dethrone these kings and queens of trivia?
Come out and exercise your brain and see if your team will be able to beat The Team With No Name.
Funds raised by this event will be used by the MEDO to support other efforts in the city.
There will be plenty of door prizes, auctions, games and fun.
Teams are still needed for this event so everyone is urged to come out and participate.
Volunteers to help judge, set up and work at the event are also needed.
