A Murphysboro man was arrested Friday and charged with Retail Theft after police say he stole a 30-pack of beer from Ron's One Stop in Murphysboro Thursday.
Vincent T. Branch, 45, was arrested without incident Friday at approximately 2:55 a.m. walking at the intersection of 11th and Poplar streets.
Police say Branch left the store, at 411 Walnut St., without paying for the 30-pack of Keystone Light beer, but officers were unable to locate him immediately after. He was arrested when they spotted him walking, and was lodged in the Jackson County Jail where he will be held pending a court appearance.
