Local business owner Theresa Blankenship has opened one of the sweetest little specialty shops in town, pun intended. Something Sweet, located at 418 North 14th Street, opened in February of 2011, and has seen a steady increase in customers. "Business is great," said Theresa. "We did the Bridal Fair at the Pavillion in Marion, which increased our wedding clients. This Valentines Day, we doubled our sales from last year, and we are seeing an increase in our lunch crowd, as well."
In addition to pastries, the shop offers a bistro style menu of sandwiches and salads. They also provide catering for birthday parties, anniversaries, weddings, and tea parties.
When visiting the shop, make sure to plan for time to browse through Donna Whistle's Accents Boutique for a sparkling selection of purses, jewelry, and accessories, and to check out Vicki Genovese's colorful collection of bows, tutu's, and custom embroidered children's wear.
