At the upcoming luncheon, the Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce will introduce Rodger Jennings (Green Party), who is running for Representative of the 12th Congressional District of Illinois.  All current Chamber Members and friends of the Chamber of Commerce are welcomed to stop in, eat some food and meet one of the candidates running for State Congress in an open forum atmosphere.  A catered lunch with sides, drink, and desert will be provided at the low cost of $10.00.  Proceeds will benefit the Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce.  Please RSVP by Thursday, March 11, by noon.

Announcements:

• The Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, March 20. The festivities will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the 5K walk/run and the Irish stew Cook-off. Many other activities will continue throughout the day. Call the Chamber office if you have any questions.

 • The Culpepper and Merriweather Circus will be coming to town on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 for two shows.  The two shows will be at 5 and 7:30 p.m.  Tickets will be on sale in the next week at the Chamber office.    

• The Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner will be held at the KC Hall in Murphysboro on Friday April 30.
