The Illinois State Police investigated a crash involving a truck tractor semi-trailer combination which occurred at approximately 2:40 a.m. on February 21. The combination vehicle was attempting to exit I-57 at milepost one when the unit failed to negotiate a curve within the exit ramp. The truck exited the roadway to the left and overturned.
The driver, Wayne O. Brown, 74, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau by Pulaski County EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
Brown was wearing his seatbelt.
No citations were issued.
