Charles Russell Dee Brimm, 59 , of Dupo, formerly of Gorham, died on Dec. 4, 2009.
He was born on Jan.11, 1950 to Dorothy (Warren) Huffman. She survives.
Charles was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at Olin Corporation in East Alton as an insulator.
He was a member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge A.F. and A.M. #474, Scottish Rite, 32nd degree Ainad Shrine (was an Ainad Shriner Clown). He was a member of V.F.W. Post 6368 in Dupo since 1969, where he was a past commander. He was also a past Department of Illinois Commander (220-2003), past National Council member (2003-2005). He was a member of the American Legion Post 485 in Dupo, and the Dupo Fire Department.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 26 years Deborah Brimm of Dupo; sons Chad Brimm and Douglas Brimm, both of Dupo; mother-in-law Lorraine Brandenburger; and sister-in-law Donna (Chuck) Kadlec, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his step father Fred Huffman Jr., and father-in-law Roy Brandenburger.
Visitation was held on Dec. 6 at Dashmen-Leesman Funeral Home. V.F.W. and Masonic services were held. Funeral services were held on Dec. 7 at Dashmen-Leemen Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Davison officiating. Burial was at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, with full military honors.
