Hi- Well we got several inches of snow, didn't we; and I guess the kids are enjoying it. I got out a little after the streets were cleaned off, and here in Bradford Place, we got our drive-ways and sidewalks cleaned off. That was a great help, and makes me glad to know that I'm in one of these apartments, and that the landlord always tries to help us in these snowy days.
I went to the K.C.'s fundraiser Saturday night with one of my good friends and neighbor, and we had a very good time playing the games, and visiting with people. They served a good meal to those who wanted to eat earlier, and then played games from 7 to 10 p.m.
After the games, a lot of nice gifts were given away to the people holding the right tickets that were drawn. It was a very enjoyable evening, and they had a nice crowd  drawn. I saw a lot of people that I knew, and several that I didn't know, but we all mingled and enjoyed the evening.
I hope we get ride of this snow soon, and according to the weather forecast, it should be melting, I hope.
I remember driving through a lot of snow when I was a Rural Mail Carrier. I think of all the Mail Carriers trying to do their jobs in this kind of weather, hoping they're not going through too many hardships. I remember once I was going up a big hill, and I had almost reached the top, and I slid all the way down- but my Guardian Angel was with me, and I got through it ok and finished the rest of my route ok.
Today I have a joke about "Back When."

I Miss Back When

I miss the slumber parties
When we stayed up all night long.
I miss dancing to the jukebox
While it played a favorite song.

Poodle skirts with crinolines,
White bucks and khaki pants;
And asking someone special
To the Sadie Hawkins dance.

Breck shampoo and bobby pins
We used to do our hair,
And hand-me-downs were something
We were glad to have to wear.

Tarzan at the picture show
Was always quite a treat,
Especially with some popcorn
Or Jujyfruits to eat.

I thought I'd never once look back,
But now I know it's true;
The memories stored deep inside
Are more than just a few.

It's not that I'm hard pressed, you see,
Or suffering from lack.
It' just that life appears to be
Much simpler looking back

My gem- A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other.
